“Booked a trip to Amsterdam to see a concert with Holidays By Design for last May which we obviously never went to. They refunded my accommodation without any fuss. However, P&O Ferry’s were not so accommodating and only offered a credit note to be used by the end of this year. I received a phone call this afternoon from Holidays By Design to say that they would personally refund the ferry cost as P&O would not. As an owner of a small business I am continually ripped off by big companies, the likes of FedEx & DPD. This kind of service is duly noted. I always make sure my customers are never out of pocket and I know how frustrating it is for an independent business going up against the cash rich big boys. We ended up getting dropped off at the wrong hotel in Benidorm and were worried they would end up going back to the wrong hotel to collect us when we were due home. “So disappointed to have my holiday cancelled to Mexico but that can’t be helped. What I can thoroughly recommend though is this team to book your holiday. They have kept in contact updating us on what was happening. Phoned me on the day our holiday was cancelled and as soon as our refund was back. Today I should have travelled home from Mexico and have received my refund when it was only cancelled 4 weeks ago. I have heard of horror stories if people waiting for refunds for months and months. I can thoroughly recommend this team for communication and helpfulness when we were really worried. They couldn’t have done anymore than they did for us. Internet booking is not the way forward.
